I eat at A Caribbean Sweetness every time I'm in town for work. I have never gotten sick from their food, and I'm extremely sensitive to gluten. My favorite is the beef barbacoa with yellow rice, black beans, ripe plantains, and coconut pudding for dessert.

Food was gluten free as far as I can tell but not as great as I had hoped. The jerk chicken was shredded, like pulled chicken. I have never seen that. And the corn tasted like canned corn to me--not a fan of canned corn. The black beans and yellow rice were good. Plantains were not good at all. They almost tasted fermented/bad. Nice guy there and service was great.
Made my own plate with jerk chicken, red frijoles, plantain & yuca with mojo. Everything was fantastic! Many options that are already GF to choose from. Our server was very helpful.
I have eaten here for 4 years. Great food and plenty of gluten free options.

Despite the fact that they don't have a dedicated GF menu, the owner is more than willing to share the ingredients in his dishes. Plus the fact that Cuban cuisine is almost all inherently GF; rice, beans & meat. This small, cozy restaurant has GREAT food, especially if you like it spicy. Make sure you order the meat & three, the corn guiso is delicious. We will definately be back again.
