We've been to A la Lucia many times. My celiac kiddo likes their Alfredo pasta and caesar salad. No issues at all.

We went in last night for Restaurant Week and they were able to make two of the pastas gf as well as some of the entrees. I had the caprese salad, halibut daily special and the vanilla gelato. When I told the server that I had Celiac she said her friend has it and comes here sometimes. She seemed very knowledgeable and was able to help me figure out which menu items would be safe for me. When the kitchen runner brought my meals she would announce that it was the gluten free (caprese/halibut/gelato). Definitely wasn't crowded but most of the people showing up the servers and manager seemed to know really well and gave the impression those people dined there often. My husband who was raised by his Italian grandmother said this is definitely an Italian restaurant complete with Italian decor.

Within walking distance of the main drag in Old Town, A La Lucia is a neighborhood gem with great food, great staff, great ambience, and great accommodations for people with gluten allergies and other dietary restrictions. Make sure to let the servers know you have an allergy and they will be able to accommodate you perfectly. The gluten-free pasta and sauce is fantastic. You can tell it's a great spot because of all the regulars who come in and are greeted by the restaurant staff, who are highly professional and have a great sense of humor, too. My partner, who doesn't have a gluten allergy, and I each had great meals. Great wine selection. I highly recommend the fresh Mozzarella and sliced tomato with basil, and the pasta with spicy tomato sauce and sautéed eggplant. Just recently discovered the place and can't wait to come back!

We ate here on a Saturday night in April. The restaurant had no gluten free pasta/bread at all. The waiter said they normally do, but didn't tonight? Bizarre. Call ahead if you decide to try this one.

They gave me a complimentary mini- bruschetta with endive, very good! GF pasta also quite good. Service great, very helpful. All the non-GF people raved about their dishes.

It was an extra $5 to substitute gf pasta but the pasta was excellent!

Very accommodating. Most of the dishes are pasta and they can sub GF pasta for everything. No GF bread available for the dipping sauce or bruschetta.
