I thought it was weird that there was only one sandwich available to choose from, until I had it. The grilled cheese with rosemary and sun dried tomatoes was amazing! I also got a sweet treat and tried one of the cucumber seltzers they had available. This was a really nice lunch and I didn’t get sick.

Great little GF Cafe with amazing range of breads. I ordered a cheese toastie which comes on gf sourdough bread and a basque cheesecake which was amazing.

Lots of little sweet treats available. But there is only one toasted sandwich flavour.

Lovely to see everything is glutenfree. Got the cheese sandwhich which was quite cheesy, would have loved something with vegetables too. Furthermore very nice place with a good option of cakes as well

I am non reacting celiac and was looking forward to the grilled cheese sandwich that other reviewers had written about. Although the bakery is safe, the sandwich was very greasy and not to my taste. If I come another time I might skip this "fatty feast". I also had a cheddar scone. It was nice, but not fantastic.

For the first time in I don’t know how long, I finally felt so normal! This bakery is 100% gluten free! Definitely a bit pricey and it doesn’t have too many options, but I still really liked the food! I recommend the chocolate fudge brownie, it was definitely my favourite!!

I really don’t get the hype this place gets. Everything is extremely overpriced. The portions are way too small. I ordered a big coffee, my friend decided to get a small one. We were unpleasantly surprised to see how small the glasses were. My big coffee would be called a small one in most places I visit…The cheesecake was very tasty, I’ll admit that, but the piece again was very small. The worst part though was the atmosphere. The choice of color for the walls (electric blue describes it probably the best) is not very cosy. The electronic music they play there very loudly may be something for young people, but I’m in my early forties and I wanna be able to talk to my friend, who is willing to meet me at a place where I actually can eat something as a celiac. This place is definitely off my list now.

Great little GF bakery. Pastries and sweets both really good and freshly baked. Lovely coffee too and friendly staff. Better as a take out place - not a magical ambience or anything and not a lot of stay in menu items. Fantastic for take out though.

Such delicious GF bread and pasteries!!Especially the ‘plum-tart’, also enjoyed thoroughly by our non celiac friends ;-) Would definitely recommend this GF bakery. Also went by Oshione, also nice but not the same quality and smaller selection. We will definitely come back to AREA again!

We had the grilled cheese toastie with fresh coffees. They were large for one person. It was very tasty and the gherkin on the side was nice too. Wooden style bench seats with no muzak so is good for a chat catch up. As everything is dedicated gluten free you can be worry free. It also sells its own GF bottles of beer for 2.50 euro each.

Very nice glutenfree bakery. Everything is gluten-free and other allergens are clearly marked on everything. I had a grilled (vegan) cheese sandwich and a cheesecake this morning. My boyfriend (who is not celiac) tried it and he said that my breakfast was way better than his (which he bought at a regular bakery.) Aera also have glutenfree beer, sandwiches, bread, cheese scones etc. I was so surprised to see this little bakery and see so many delicious gluten-free things at one place. I definitely need to go back there before we go home tomorrow! This is a must try place for any celiac going to Berlin!

I was diagnosed with Celiac over 15 years ago and live in a city with great GF options. But the heavy dark brown bread here was AMAZING! I never thought I would eat bread like that again. Just off the main shopping street Ku’ Dam. The cook were also yummy.

Such a beautiful little bakery, all 100% gluten free. They did not have a lot of choice for lunch mostly just grilled cheese (which I enjoyed it was really nice). Placed in a very nice part of Berlin definitely worth a visit!
