This was like opening a flavorful, injera present!
It had been so long since I've had Ethiopian food and I had forgotten how amazing the flavors are in traditional Ethiopian cuisine. The injera is naturally gluten-free but the restaurant put the extra few seconds to note gluten-free on my delivery box (always a + in my book because they didn't have to). I expect that this is the first of many orders through UberEATS at Apelgil.
I follow a Gilmore Girls ordering style: pick 2 meals (or more if it's for a group), try, and then enjoy for the next few meals. I gave the Lega Beef Tibs and Beef Combo Samples a try. I had originally been looking forward to the Lega Beef Tibs (delicious) but ended up SAVORING the variety and flavors in the beef combo. If this is your first foray into Ethiopian food, the Beef Combo Samples is the way to go! What the cuisine lacks in visual appeal, it more than makes up in flavor!
Wonderful people and excellent food. They serve Ethiopian food traditionally and are willing to answer any questions.
