I’ve been here repeatedly and always enjoyed the small plates served with crudete while my companions loved the bread. Clean, fresh tasting preps. UPDATE 9/20/24: last night tried the zucchini fritters - excellent. Only advice is to specify TAP water rather than responding “flat” when asked if you want sparkling or flat. We ended up with an unexpected additional $20 on an already steep bill.
I just did a take-out order last week Saturday & it was beyond disappointing. I placed my order in person with the owner, Huseyin. I even repeated my order back to him. I told him I wanted one separate tray of lamb gyro, another separate tray of rice & a large shepherd's salad with feta cheese that would be sufficient for four people. I also ordered three orders of cigar rolls & four yogurt drinks. My total was $176.
When I got home with my order, I realized that my order was not only incorrect, but it was impartial. They never put the lamb gyro & rice in separate trays as I asked. Instead, they put the lamb gyro & rice together in small plastic containers filled with mostly salad & huge chunks of potato wedges that were burnt & dried. There were a few pieces of lamb gyro & a little bit of rice with more than half of the container consisting of salad that I did not ask for & huge pieces of burnt dried potato wedges that should have been out of there.
I told the owner to not include a salad with my lamb gyro & rice order because I already ordered a large shepherd's salad for four people. I also don't recall them adding potato wedges inside of the gyro & rice order in the past. They had the potato wedges hidden underneath the rice to make it seem like it was a full portion of food when it wasn't. The potato wedges looked like they were leftovers.
The yogurt drinks were not bottled. They put my yogurt drinks inside of paper cups with lids on them & it was 95% water. The cigar rolls tasted rubbery. The only thing that was ok was the shepherd salad but even that was the wrong size & they even overcharged me for the salad.
I paid all that money just for them to get it all wrong. I already had a bad experience the last time that I did a take-out order & wasn't expecting them to get it wrong again. This is beyond embarrassing & shameful.

What a lucky find this place was for us! We needed a GF friendly restaurant to eat before a show and didn’t plan ahead. Came upon Akdeniz and gave it a try. Seemed like most of the menu was GF. They had a separate fryer for items with gluten so even the falafels were safe. Had a delicious salad with some really flavorful chicken. Falafels came out hot and extra crispy. Service was great. Super easy to pay for our meal too—they leave you an itemized receipt with a QR code to scan and complete payment. We will have to go back when we are hungrier and try some of their other dishes.
Absolutely delicious. I got the falafel appetizer, the chicken chops entree, and the rice pudding for dessert. Plenty of gluten free options, and they don’t cook with soybean oil (type of oil depends on the dish I believe)
Almost everything on the menu is gluten free and the Turkish food is great!
Great place! Menu clearly marked. 2 super sensitive celiacs and everyone felt fine after eating. The chicken Shish kebab was the best we have ever had! Very few non GF menu items. Highly recommend!
The food was so yummy. The service was wonderful. Definitely a safe location for someone with celiac. All items are clearly marked, except on their dessert menu, you're going to have to ask. I had the chicken sautee and it was really good.
My celiac partner and I had a great time here. Every gluten free item is marked, and most of the menu is gluten free. The servers were very knowledgeable, and not only was the food exceptional, it was safe!
