Review of Al Conte Pescaor

I was hesitant when I initially booked a reservation (via the Fork app) because I could only find a few gluten free reviews from 2018.

I’m so glad that I took the leap of faith - this was the best dinner we had in Venice. The waiter explained that they used to have gluten free pasta on the menu, but took it off because they didn’t feel it was excellent. In spite of this, the staff were very knowledgeable and able to suggest many of the dishes for me to choose.

The food was so fresh (we could see the fish being prepared in the kitchen. The service was so relaxed and warm, and the bill ended up being well below my expectations.

If you are looking for an authentic Venetian meal that is off the beaten path for tourists, this is it.
