I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon, turkey, havarti and gouda cheese. It was very good. They grill on the same surface that they grill the regular bread on. That concerned me because I have celiac, but they promised that they clean it. For that reason I would not recommend it for Celiacs. I did chance it...because the cashier said they had a lot of repeat Celiac there. If I get sick I will update this post!!
Friendly people and wonderful food! The muffuletta was amazing! I will definitely be back before heading home.
Amazing!! First time to enjoy a muffuletta, won't be the last! I'm so happy I found this place! They make everything fresh.
The muffuletta was amazing. Well worth the trip!
I had heard about Muffaletas and I didn't think I'd be able to enjoy one while vacationing in NOLA. I was thrilled to find this place, they are delicious! The GF bread is phenomenal! Now Alberto's is out first stop when we visit from WI.
Their bread is incredible! Excellent service no cross contamination
Great flavor, try the muffuletta. Very filling and the best price for what you get in the city. I'm celiac and had no problems.
Only gluten free muffuletta I've found in New Orleans! A must try for all gluten free while in the city! The people are very nice as well.
can't believe i could have a vegetarian AND gf muffaletta! they use udi's bread. super delicious! conveniently located in the french market.
the gluten free muffuletta sandwich was amazing! The prices are reasonable & they were very friendly.
I, too, was so happy to get a gluten-free muffuletta! It was the real thing, too - and delicious. A 1/4 sandwich was more than I could eat. Nice people, good service... It is an outdoor French market stand and it closes early in the evening.
Gluten free bred for the muffuletta, it was very good, the wine offerings left something to be desired.
THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE MUFFALETTAS! And they are delicious! I was so upset that I couldn't have a muffaletta while I was in Nola, and then I found this gem. The muffaletta was DELICIOUS, inexpensive, and the portions were very satisfying. Alberto's is in the French Market, and the woman working there is very sweet and goes out of her way to make sure you like your food. Definitely a must visit for Celiacs in New Orleans!
Gluten free bread available for muffulettas or with cheese plate.
