One of my new fav spots in Cincy! The place itself is gorgeous, the cocktails are lovely, and so much of the menu can be made gluten free. Our waitress told us that all the food that goes into the fryer (including the fried fish!) is gluten free, so I could actually get fries with my burger for once :) Very cool place overall!
Mid. Server was nice but food not great. Tried it twice. Veggies with rice was completely unseasoned - not sure if because gluten free. Veggies hard uncooked. Rice mushy. Really bad. Like if you microwaved veggies and rice.
Burgers ok. Those thin slices of fake cheese.
Ambiance kinda good. Door greeter was a little off. Just doesn’t seem like things have been systematized. bad value because prices are high. Burger 7/10 at best.
Fries apparently gluten free fryer but server did not seem to want to go into it. When nothing seems dialed in, hard to believe there are any gluten precautions being taken.
Gorgeous space. Everyone liked their meals. Fantastic service. Easy paid parking. We ate:
Roasted carrots — GF/ Vegetarian
Seared Salmon — GF/DF
Crispy Tofu Sandwich— can use GF bun/ DF/ Vegetarian
Roasted eggplant — GF/ DF/ Vegetarian
Crispy potatoes - GF
Fried Chicken Sandwich- not GF / DF (my nephew said - it was delicious. My sister said it was a little bit sweet, oddly so. The waiter said that with a gluten-free bun this would be gluten-free.)
Peach & Quark salad -not GF/ DF (hubby says only ok, a little above average and strange bit sweet)
Very good experience. Apparently several beers are filtered so much to be less than 1 part per million gluten. I had a MadTree Schade and experienced no symptoms. Also had fries (they have three distinct fryers, one for GF) and even a fried chicken sandwich on GF bun. Zero symptoms. Very happy customer!
There was not a ton of options but I had the goetta sandwich with a gf bun and hash browns along with their Brussels sprouts and it was delicious
Just gluten sensitive- This is easily hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a LONG time. The Cesar salad was a little pepper-y for my liking but that is literally my only critique. The braised short rib in tomato risotto was absolutely incredible! And my husband had the roasted chicken which I really want to figure out how they made so juicy but crispy on the outside. The chicken jus made the green beans soooo flavorful as well! Wish I lived here so we could come back! I think my only other thing would be there were no gluten free beers available, but the vodka strawberry lemonade smash thing was tasty!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Our server also had celiac disease so she was of course, extremely knowledgeable and so helpful. They have a dedicated GF fryer, will modify any dish, tell you which cocktails and drinks are safe, and they have dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options too! I’m vegetarian so they put tofu on one of their specialty burgers for me and it was the best thing I’ve had in years. I’m obsessed. I can’t recommend it enough
The waitstaff is always accommodating and speaks the the chef directly when I have questions. I’m gluten (not celiac) and dairy free and they always have at least one entrée option that works for me. Lots of gluten free options if you don’t have other allergies.
