Review of Allie's GF Goodies Homemade Gluten Free Goodness

Was excited to try this bakery. The staff was super nice. I chose a mini lemon poppyseed cake on my own. It was dry and bordered on flavorless. I took a bite and tossed it. I asked what the staff recommended and one of the young ladies said she loved the cupcakes, so I got one. She said her favorite was the chocolate with chocolate, which is right up my alley. Something about the appearance of the cupcake left me underwhelmed. I tried it and found the cake part of the cupcake inedible - the frosting was okay. It wasn’t anything special. I gave the bakery two stars because I do appreciate that they create allergen free products. I do regret not trying the donuts, because they looked good.

I guess I am spoiled because I have tried so many great gf bakeries in NYC, D.C., California, MA, etc.
