Such an amazing GF meal at Alma Nove. The waitress was so careful with all aspects of the meal, from the GF warm rolls (with butter taken from an area free from gluten, to the apps, and full meal. It is so nice to have an entire GF menu to choose from, and knowing they take such careful precautions for those with celiac disease.
Great experience gluten free wise! Rolls and salad were delicious. Entrees were slim picking for vegetarians.
Great experience. Separate gluten free menu for appetizers and entrees. They brought out warm gluten free roles that were very good, my non-gf friend even enjoyed them. Got the caprese as an appetizer and gluten free bolognese, it was delicious! The server was knowledgeable and even walked through the dessert menu to tell me what what be safe.
We had a great dinner with family. As always, there was careful attention paid to my gluten free dinner and service was terrific. Lots of gluten free choices for appetizers and dinner. Can’t wait to dine here again.
Everything was fabulous. We had the duck dinner and a seasonal pork special. The nice thing is that the server was very careful and explained the change to the pork that would make it gf. They had to pan fry it instead of grilling it to avoid cross contamination. Beautiful harbor views too.
We absolutely loved this restaurant. Not only is the view beautiful and perfect for a date night, but the food is delicious. They have a large GF menu and even have GF bread and desserts. The wait staff and kitchen are very well trained. My husband and I each had appetizers, entrees, and shared a dessert. We took an hour and a half drive just to go there and we will definitely be back.
Super knowledgable and friendly staff and the food is fresh, amazing, and delicious. Pasta is A+. Plus, the bread is the first GF bread I've had that hasn't made me want to gag and doesn't taste like cardboard. They even have a flourless chocolate cake! Highly recommend going here. I've eaten here numerous times and haven't had any problems, so I'm confident in saying you won't have issues here if you're clear about needing to be GF.
My boyfriend and I - both celiac - decided to go here for our Valentine's Day dinner. It's definitely a splurge, which is why we saved it for a special occasion. The place itself is very nice - although everything was buried under a million feet of snow when I went, I'm sure the views of the water would be very pretty during the summertime. We decided to go with the cod cakes appetizer, which we thought was pretty outstanding. They also brought us some GF rolls and olive oil for dipping (it took them a little while to bring it out, but our waitress apologized multiple times for the delay and I thought the bread itself was pretty good). For our main course, I got the duck breast and my boyfriend got one of their penne dishes (the one with seafood). We also decided to split the lobster mashed potatoes side dish because we were curious to try it. The mashed potatoes were delicious and I thought the duck was perfect. Unfortunately, my boyfriend wasn't as pleased with his meal, as the pasta seemed to have been slightly overcooked, and as overcooked GF pasta tends to do, had become mushy (like he couldn't even get it to stay on his fork). He mentioned the issue to the waitress but insisted that it wasn't a big enough deal to send the dish back. However, the waitress still kindly offered us a free dessert to make up for it. We got some sort of mocha cream thing, and we both agreed that it was really good, although by that point we were too full to finish it! Although the pasta was a bit of a disappointment, the staff was very kind about it and everything else we ate was top-knotch.
Absolutely the best high quality food around. Their gluten free cod cakes are AMAZING! Tons of great gluten free options to choose from. The even bake gluten free bread for their olive oil dipping sauce. Love their fire grilled salmon with saffron butter sauce. MMMMmmmm I can't wait to return. It's expensive but worth every penny!
