I had the best experience with the staff being knowledgeable about celiac disease/cross contamination. I had the cauliflower crust pizza and I’m a very sensitive celiac with no symptoms whatsoever! Would highly recommend.

The staff who waited on me were knowledgeable about GF items. The Up North Field Greens salad (without bread) is excellent. They offer a GF pizza and many sandwiches can be made with a GF bun. Gf buns are okay - I wished they were Schär buns. (I’ve had hamburgers several times and a Reuben.) They also baked my fries since get don’t have a dedicated frier. Yummy!

They had no idea and acted so rudely when I even asked, that my entire party no longer wanted to eat there (and they were not GF). Even the manager was rude and refused to even look at me. He stopped right in front of us to answer the server, talking about me like I wasn’t even there! It was bad. I’ve actually not been treated more rudely anywhere in the last 20+ years of me being GF. We left without ever ordering. The other guests with me made the point that the way they spoke to me made them not trust any food served there at all. I will NEVER be back. Please be careful if dining.

Had the burger with a gluten free bun. They even baked my French fries that way there I could have them since I couldn’t have them out of the fryer. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about options. Delicious!

Had the cauliflower “gluten friendly” pizza and did not get sick. the waitress announced it was gluten free when she brought it out so that was nice not feeling the need to double check.

All the waitstaff had to offer as GF, was the GF pizza crust. Very disappointed
No GF menu. Unhelpful wait staff. They are willing to modify the menu. But don't ask them to check ingredients
Good pizza and knowledgeable staff, I would go again :)
My husband & I had lunch Feb 25, 2015. My husband is celiac sprue. I wanted to try the Alpine. Our service was O.K by no means anything special. Our server was not knowledgeable about GF (but let's face it this is northern Michigan, privately owned & GF is just getting heard of). When I asked what they had on menu GF, she responded, "everything!" But after looking at menu I saw many contradictions but for benefit of the doubt I asked, "so u have GF hamburger buns?" She replied, "no, but we can make a hamburger GF." (Ya a hamburger with no bun that's filling) So after quickly assessing the situation we realized the only GF was pizza. My husband liked it but could have ate two pizza's. The GF pizza is medium w/ cheese for $9.49 and $1.39 more for pepperoni. (My husband can tolerate some GF.)
