Sushi is good. But I have been here twice and been sketched out both times. First time, the waitress seemingly knew what gluten was. Took my order, food came out and there was breading crumbs from what you would get on a fried roll scattered on my plate. She was like, “don’t worry, it’s just because the plate next to yours in the kitchen was a fried roll- yours isn’t fried.” Sent it back and I saw her just take the crumbs off the plate, not make a new one. So I didn’t eat it. Second time I asked if they had any gluten free rolls & the waiter said “what’s gluten, again?”… *sigh*

Delicious sushi. The fish was very fresh. They had packets of gluten free soy sauce available upon request. The California rolls have real crab!
Portions are much bigger than most sushi places I’ve been to, so be aware of that when ordering.

Amakara was delicious! They informed me that almost everything on their menu could be modified to be gluten free. They offered gluten free soy sauce and the service was excellent. I went with my friend who is vegan and neither of us had any trouble ordering as they were very understanding and accommodating.
