I’ve been here twice - great experience both times. Lots of GF options and everyone is really friendly. Highly recommended!

The arepas are amazing!!!! Didn’t get cross contaminated either.
I got an arepa. It was tasty and I didn’t get sick. The menu well well-marked but the staff didn’t seem to know much.
FYI the menu said they had dairy-free cheese but the staff didn’t seem to know it existed.
Update: I’ve been back several times and was still delicious and still didn’t get sick! At the most recent visit, the person at the counter informed me that the plantains are fried in a shared frier so they’re probably cross contaminated, but I’ve had them several times now and have been ok

Sooo good and didn’t feel sick. I left them a praise via my instagram account. See below.
Dear @amarachocolate , you best believe I’ll be back! Your Gluten Free Caitra in Malibu arepas are so scrumptious and the Leche Con Chocolate w/ almond milk is to die for! *smack lips*. [Rose’s left hand holding mostly eaten arepa over a square white plate. A small coleslaw in a plastic tub is sitting right behind her wrist. A sun mood ring is tucked on her finger. In front of the plate is a white saucer partially filled with Leche Con Chocolate. ]

Amazing meal! I ordered the vegan gf breakfast burrito. It was so tasty, filling and had no issues. I was amazed by the tortilla as well. Highly recommend!

Delicious, I'm a sensitive celiac and I go here all the time and have never gotten sick

Be sure to say when ordering that you have gluten dairy allergies. They have a small kitchen. Be sure to go in when they are not busy. We do not order when they are busy.
We enjoy the food, and have been coming for years.
We also have dairy allergies. They make their own delicious nut milk.

Amara, the owner, is incredibly aware. So is some of the other staff but just be clear in your questions in order to feel comfortable with what you order. Most Arepas and Cachapas are GF naturally, and dont have CC risk. Excellent coffee to boot.

Order taker was friendly and helpful about what items were gluten free.
They literally told us to go elsewhere where we started asking about gluten free despite having items labeled GF on the menu. Guy was rather rude and didn't want our business
3 out of our party of 7 with celiac. They were knowledgeable about ingredients, sources of potential gluten, and prepared and served our meals separately. DELICIOUS and very unique. Service was fantastic. None of us got sick. Highly recommend!

I’m so glad I found this place. It was a short walk from the conference I was attending. The arepa was delicious and so were the drinks. The staff was super friendly and knew right away what I could eat. Just tell them you are GF.
Delicious arepas! Great salad too. Did not try any of the drinks but wish I had, seems like there are a lot of options. Will be back! No issues and I'm celiac
Delicious breakfast! Had the arepa plate with the stewed beef and avocado.
The Menu and the staff is knowledgeable of what is GF. I'm hypersensitive and have not had a reaction. Ordered the Maracaibo plate, big serving and delicious. I also had their Caracas blended late, it does contain Condense Milk but you can opt out for Almond milk, the best tasting Late I've had in a while. Will definitely visit here again!

I wish I could give this place more than five stars!! Amara, the owner, is incredibly sweet and the hot chocolate is HEAVENLY. They have lots of gluten-free options to eat so you won't be too limited. Plus, Amara has a background in food science; so she's very aware of celiac disease and is happy to make recommendations.
Yes
they have gf and good coffee. but bad attitude
Wow. Venezuelan food and European style chocolate and coffee drinks. Many GF options on menu.
