The guy at the front desk couldn't guarantee that cross contamination would not occur when baking in the pizza oven and refused to allow us to buy pizza. He showed us the GF menu which did have pizza on it? We left very disappointed. Would give it zero stars if I could.
Beautiful location with indoor and outdoor seating. Knowledgeable about gluten sensitive and celiac. Separate GF menu. Pizza likely contaminated as use same oven to bake. I had the Pizza Prosciutto E Funghi and it was delicious. Had to come all the way from Canada to have decent gluten free pizza! Highly recommend!
I remember the horror of the early days of gluten free pasta. The hard, awful, abomination that was our reality as celiacs or those with gluten issues. Red Lentil pasta?! What?! Well, Amarone must have gotten a big deal buying bulk of that awful red lentil pasta, because that's what you get. Not the good Barilla or Rummo or even the generic pasta nowadays at your local market, which has improved to the point I would bet most people wouldn't know they were eating GF pasta unless you told them. However, everyone and anyone who tries or eats the awful, hard, disgusting red lentil pasta at Amarone can tell you it's just gross. I did quietly go to the manager and discussed it, and they did kindly remove from the bill while I sat and watched my partner eat her regular pasta, which she said was decent. Also good service.
Fancy Italian restaurant, massive gf menu and staff were knowledgeable. The kitchen was small so they couldn’t prepare the food in a seperate place but they had dedicated mats and pans for gf food. The waiter didn’t recommend the pizza for coeliacs but says it is fine for people with gluten intolerance.
