Extremely positive experiences here. The staff, particularly the manager, are very familiar with gluten-free and celiac cross contamination protocols. I brought my card, which they reviewed, but seemed to be familiar with all of it. They also are able to cook things separately and also in separate oil to avoid cross contamination. Felt very safe eating here, plenty of options, delicious 100% corn tortillas, and plenty of options for vegetarians/vegans. I loved the empanadas and the vegan papdzules in particular, and the hibiscus tea! They offer you tostadas as alternative to chips, which are cross contaminated, but I found the tostadas quite stale, so asked for fresh corn tortillas instead to eat with the free salsas.

Fantastic food and fantastic service at Amate 38. The setting is beautiful, leafy jungle vibe by a small river. The vegan pimitos were lovely, also the shrimp main, the pork pibil and the Papadzules. There are only two dishes that aren't gluten free, and the nacho chips arent either. But they bring you fresh corn tortillas as a replacement to go with the fantastic guacamole and other dips. My partner is coeliac and we've been here multiple times. The mezcal menu and mezcalita is fab!

AMAZING pork tacos - I will be back for those. Manager had a great knowledge of gluten free, let me know to avoid the chips because there is no dedicated fryer. Toasted me up some tortillas instead. Most things can be made gluten free, lots of tasty options! 100% would recommend and will return.

Super restaurant !! Beaucoup d’options sans gluten !! Ça n’est pas écrit sur le menu mais dans tous les plats les tortillas peuvent être remplacées par des tortillas de mais (et seulement de mais donc sans gluten). L’ensemble du personnel est au courant du sans gluten et des possibilités de contaminations croisées. Les tortillas de maïs sont faites à part justement pour éviter cela. Ils sont aux petits soins et savent répondre à toutes questions. Je me suis sentie en sécurité :) c’était très très bon et pas cher !! Excellentes spécialités mexicaines !!! A ne pas manquer ! Dernier + : meilleur restaurant mexicain aussi pour mon copain qui ne mange pas sans gluten ! On s’est donc régalé tous les deux ! Merciiii à eux <3 !!

One of the best restaurants in Playa, hands down. Everything was superb. Lots of vegetable and protein options to choose from. Will be returning. I'm gluten sensitive but not celiac so I can't comment on safety.

Great spot, waitress was very helpful in identifying safe dishes. She quickly understood when I asked about the fryer sharing with gluten items (not dedicated) and then arranged to have corn chips fried in a pan. Many of their dishes are gluten free, some with slight modifications.
