Symptomatic Celiac

Review

American Brass offers a beautiful view of Manhattan from Long Island City while a jazz band plays in the background. It seems in the spring/summer they may offer outdoor dining, which I would recommend getting a reservation for as the view is stunning after nightfall.

Although the menu doesn’t state what is gluten free, the servers seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject and were able to point out which dishes are or could be made gluten free. Having expected maybe one or two, I was surprised by how large the selection was.

Unfortunately, while the food may be gluten free, I don’t believe it’s celiac safe. The salmon entrée was delicious but still left me with minor symptoms afterward. So, if you’re gluten free then I’d recommend but if you’re celiac then I’d think twice or make it clear regarding cross contamination.
