This place is amazing! I ate here twice while visiting Ocala. The staff will tell you that most items are gluten-free except naan and some appetizers. They can answer questions. They told me they use chickpea flour in their dishes. I had the Palak Paneer one day and the Chicken Curry another day. Both are delicious! I would definitely go again when visiting. Just try it!
My husband and I stopped on our way through Ocala. He has a gluten intolerance. We found them through this app. We were very happy with the gluten free options. They listed 3 appetizers, most of the entrees and at least one desert. We had the chilli paneer for our appetizer (medium), methi chicken (medium plus) and lamb vindaloo (hot). Everything was amazing. Very flavorful. The ride was very tender and moist. We shared a rice pudding for desert. All of the staff we interacted with we very nice and knowledgeable.
We would definitely visit again.
I have eaten here several times and I’ve never gotten sick from it. The food is incredible. If you’re sensitive to cane sugar, I definitely recommend avoiding the chutney that comes with the papadam, though it’s very delicious. They have a lot of vegan options as well. I really enjoy this place, the atmosphere is great and it is very clean. They have a nice looking bar, but I don’t drink so have never ordered anything from it. Definitely an impressive place to take a date.
I am an extremely sensitive celiac and ate here with NO PROBLEM! the waiters were extremely knowledgeable and even went back to talk to the chef if they had a question regarding the menu items. I was happy to know I had many options!!! Also the Mango Juice is just to die for!!! Will definitely be back!
I was told there is no separate GF menu. Our waiter was not knowledgeable at all regarding GF options. He did run to the kitchen once to ask about GF appetizers but not about dinners. I was kind of on my own. However, a friend of mine who is also GF assured me the chicken curry with rice was safe. We also had Papadum, a cracker (instead of the naan bread) and I ate it with the chutney they brought to the table. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is nice and very clean. I will return for the curry.
Indian food is largely gluten-free, so it's where I go when I'm traveling and want to take the fewest risks. The waiter asked right away if I wanted bread, and when I said no he asked if I was avoiding it. He understood when I said I am celiac and offered a gf option (papadum) without giving me attitude. The food was quite delicious, and they were very fast to serve it. I heard other people commenting that it was some of the best Indian food they had ever eaten, and I have to agree it is right up there.
