Amy’s is the best GF Chinese in the North Austin area, hands down. The owner’s own mom has celiac so they are very aware. I’ve eaten here probably 20+ times over the last two years and have never once had an issue. Just be clear when you order and they can accommodate almost anything. I’m partial to the egg drop and general tso’s with chicken and extra veggies. It’s never been greasy or heavy either! *edit update* if you order delivery- CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE THE DRIVER LEAVES. I’ve had three different occasions over the last few months that I’ve ordered GF and received breaded chicken. They have been very apologetic and corrected the issue immediately but it’s still a concern. Truthfully, I blame the teenagers hired to handle the to-go’s... not the restaurant.

The wait staff didn’t know if the menu had anything gluten free but came back and said they can make anything gf. Seemed strange to me so I declined to eat but my friends ordered food and it came out really fast and was cold. They spoke up about it and it came back only slightly warmer.

I have celiac and had lunch here today. I asked if they could make the lo mein gluten free and the waiter said yes. I verified it was gf when it was brought out. A few hours later, I feel awful. I was excited to have a new Chinese place to go to, but I guess this isn't the one.

The owner Amy is super nice- they can make any Chinese dish with GF soy sauce except breaded things. Use a clean pan. Rice noodle dishes. My daughters favorite
Eaten here a few times. Good food and I've never gotten sick.
