Absolutely not safe for celiacs. No gluten free options on the menu. I was told ahead of time that they could do gluten free pasta, which is true, but when I asked about cross contamination the waitress basically rolled her eyes at me. I also asked her about dairy free options and she looked at my menu and seemingly listed the first three things she saw, telling me that they were all dairy free. Unfortunately one of those things was a Parmesan something or other π€¨. Somehow I think no?
We asked if they had gluten free bread, and then on my way to the bathroom I overheard two of the waitstaff making fun of assumingely us:
Person 1: “They asked for gluten free bread can you believe that?”
Person 2: “but this is an Italian restaurant?”
Not every place needs to cater to every dietary need! That is okay. But if you are celiac or gluten free please please please do not go here. There are many fantastic restaurants in Ogunquit that do gluten free very well, this is not one of them.
The owner is also very mean and the staff are obviously scared of him. Bad vibes all around. They also try to squeeze every cent out of you that they can, the restaurant charges you $5 if you want to split a dish with someone, and requests on the menu that you add an extra $10 tip for their kitchen staff. I have literally never seen this before at any other restaurant. Maybe just pay your kitchen staff more idk.

My family and I had dinner here in August 2022. The restaurant was busy yet our server took the time to explain what items on the menu were gf. I shared the burrata with roasted red peppers and salami for app and then had the chicken and mushroom risotto for entree. Both were delicious and I did not get sick. My family really enjoyed their food as well so if you have a craving for Italian food in the area, I recommend.

Limited selection for pasta, though they do have steaks as well. Had the penne with meat sauce. Good flavor. No negative reaction.

Ordered takeout GF risotto. Informed restaurant that I have gluten allergy. Thankfully, I tested food with my Nima Sensor and gluten was found. So disappointing.

I have celiac and have been there 3 times with no problems, just need to make sure you tell them you have a gluten allergy (easily understood by wait staff). Very classy place and I feel very comfortable eating there.

I was disappointed that the only gluten-free pasta option was a Barilla-tasting penne. This place could be great for celiacs if they expanded their menu a bit.
Yes
We called and talked to person about the GF offerings. They were not 100 percent sure of all the details but took our cell number and said they would have David call us. I believe that he is the owner and Executive Chef. He called and talked about what they had for options... very helpful and friendly. Took our reservation and it was excellent atmosphere and quality food and drink. We will go back in the future π
The waitstaff was knowledgeable and helpful. All of the risottos are gf and they also have gf pasta. My meal was delicious

I have been dining here as a person with Celiac disease for years. Every time I have a wonderful experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure a meal can be modified to be made gluten-free and the chef always makes a delicious meal.
Yes
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the food and service despite 2 other poor reviews. I had the gluten free pasta with roasted eggplant and my wife had the eggplant Parmesan. Both meals were excellent and our waiter Tristan was very polite and attentive to our needs. Will definitely be back.
I'm sorry to report we had a miserable experience tonight. Food was terribly bland, salads were saturated with dressing and the waitstaff was confrontational. When the manager asked how the food was we tried to politely tell him it was bland. He was angry and completely unprofessional. So much so one of the servers apologized for his behavior. They were embassed.

When I asked the waiter what was gluten free on the menu, he stated they had gluten free pasta and the risotto could be made gf. He then asked if it was an allergy or intolerance. Should have been the red flag that made me order a salad instead of risotto. Well I got sick and while I didn't try the gfree pasta I would venture to say this might be a restaurant for Celiac's to avoid.
