I had fantastic salmon for lunch! The server checked with the kitchen to make sure everything was gf. Great lunch all around.

We had our Valentine Day dinner here which was fixed price and a specific menu but they were able to accommodate my GF needs. In general, I order the GF pasta dishes when I eat here which is typically several times a year. I always enjoy them!

I’ve been here many times in the last 7 years since we moved out from Durham. I’m writing now because I saw it had a low rating which I would very much disagree with. Antonia herself sold the restaurant pre-pandemic but the hospitality remains excellent. I am always addressed by and often served by the manager. The braised meat in the winter is a favorite comfort food right here in our little town. I always love the fish, salads, and chicken. I have never had a bad meal here. These days it seems reservations are a good idea, especially on weekends or Last Friday Art Walk Nights . When it’s packed the front room with the bar which has A couple front tables and a very long bench with many small tables sandwiched in by chairs and which are readjusted over the hardwood floors for party size throughout the night gets loud and the space is sometimes too tight if you are at all unsteady or larger. So if there are hearing or balance issues you might want to ask for the second room or a front table.

Delicious food! In fact, some of the best gluten free pasta I have ever had. They took my celiac disease very seriously and made sure all the kitchen staff knew to not cross contaminate. Would definitely go here again!! If you get Ariana, you’re in good hands :)

I’ve eaten here twice recently due to necessity. Had to stick with a veggie heavy salad to be safe due to other reviews suggesting anything deemed gluten free potentially having cross contamination.
Both times I haven’t had a severe reaction that I can easily trace to gluten. Staff doesn’t seem particularly knowledgeable about cross contamination methods. Gluten free pasta is offered, but I won’t be trying it.

Before this past weekend I would say they are good for people with Celiac disease but not anymore. We ordered food to go and were sure to specify gluten free, and were told that the shrimp and polenta dish was gluten free. My husband threw up all night after eating it and said he wanted to die. We just can't take the risk anymore.
