I’m sad to write this because I think the owner tries to accommodate GF diets, but the cafe staff (pie/coffee shop, not restaurant) specifically I don’t think does a great job. They have GF options but don’t seem to take thorough enough precautions when handling/serving items and I’ve been glutened here twice. Which is really disappointing because I love their pies, but I don’t feel like it’s a safe bet going there after this second time when I explicitly told them about my celiac and to use separate serving utensils but given how sick I currently am I think they must not have :(
Not a dedicated GF establishment, but quite a few menu items that are GF and they offer GF bread and GF English muffins as a substitute to make their benedicts and other menu items GF. We did order benedicts. The staff was knowledgeable. We had Sunday brunch and then walked across the street and picked up two pieces of pie for a to-go dessert. The pie, which we had later in evening, was great. Buttery and flakey crust.
