They have a dedicated GF menu with a few choices. I ordered the cured ham, mashed potatoes and pinto beans. The food was ok, nothing special. I have celiac and am very sensitive to gluten. I did NOT have a reaction. My meal was $21 and definitely not worth the money. I would not eat there again.
Staff seemed very knowledgeable about ingredients. My waitress brought out a booklet that contained gf menu options. I was unable to eat the soup the fritters and soup that accompanied the entree. I ordered the bbq grilled chicken lunch entree with mashed potatoes and pinto beans.
I had the opportunity to stop and dine at this incredibly cute place! I had grilled chicken breasts with apple jelly, green beans, and mashed potatoes and they were all delicious! I am pretty sensitive and I had absolutely no reaction. The waitress was very cautious and knowledgeable, as well as the rest of the staff!
Went for breakfast and they had a gluten free menu available! No gf bread items and if you have gluten eaters at your table be aware that they bring Apple fritters to the table that smell amazing! (My family assured me they weren’t good as they continued to eat them, lol!) Overall, basic foods available like eggs, bacon, sausage and ham. Everything was great and I felt safe but not a huge variety of options
Very pleased with our experience. My son has celiac and neither our server nor the manager knew much about gluten free, so she voluntarily brought the chef to our table. Chef listed off several things she thought he would enjoy that she could make safely for him. He ate well, even had it for leftovers again at dinner. We are 24 hours out & no reactions at all. Should also mention the restaurant was very busy while we were there, but they still managed to accommodate us.
Not Celiac friendly. I ordered gluten free grill chicken tenders and the waitress came back with breaded chicken tenders. I told her I ordered grilled chicken off the gluten free menu and she got very rude with me. I didn’t eat because I was scared I would get sick. I will never eat here again. She didn’t have to be so rude. It was her fault not mine she got it messed up.
They have a separate gluten free menu with some really good options and they also mark what is cooked in the shared fryer. I do recommend if you get breakfast to let them know that you do not want a biscuit, as my plate came with one. Our waitress didn’t really understand why I could not take the chance and eat the food that the biscuit was sitting on top of but she listened to my concerns and got me a new plate.
I'm not celiac, but am very strictly gluten free. I was pretty satisfied with the options they offered. I was sad that they don't have any gluten free soup options, but I was able to substitute a salad without croutons for a small upcharge. Overall yummy food. The BBQ Bacon and Cheddar Chicken was great.
Several GF options to choose from. The food was very good. My non GF eaters absolutely loved the apple fritters. I had the Grilled Trout (beware of bones) the soup wasn’t gf so they allowed me to get a second side. The cucumber salad, regular salad, and my own bowl of mashed potatoes (normally Mashed potatoes for the table to share). The dessert wasn’t GF so they brought me ice cream. All in all a good experience and good food. *there are two restaurants on property, this review is for the restaurant - not the grill.
They did have a pretty decent allergen menu. I think part of the problem was that the food wasn't the best to begin with. It's supposed to be a 'county style' kind of place. The food was just okay. Our server was knowledgeable enough, but unsure about what to offer us while we waited. He knew we couldn't have the apple fritters or the soup so he just brought us the apple butter. (What was I supposed to do, eat it straight?) The meal is supposed to include soup and apple fritters, but those aren't gf and nothing is offered in their place, so price-wise we're getting ripped off a bit. The food was just okay, the staff was knowledgeable enough, the setting was nothing fancy. I wouldn't recommend it.
The disclaimer that precedes everything on the gluten free list let me know that it was not safe to eat at this restaurant.
