We had dinner at the mirador restaurant. We informed staff that we are coeliac and they were happy to talk us through the options. The menu is clearly labelled, however do double check with the staff to be sure that item is safe. We received a warm basket of delicious gluten free bread, and we ordered the fried cauliflower, yuca cheese croquettes (so happy to have coeliac safe fried food options!!!!!). For mains we had the vegetarian curry with rice and vegetarian stuffed pepper. For dessert we had a baked chocolate apple dessert. All dishes were super delicious and it was a truly fabulous experience to dine here - the view is incredible and the staff are excellent!

Beautiful setting and lots of wonderful gluten-free offerings! We enjoyed seafood and cocktails as we watched iguanas scurrying around and a sloth climbing the tree above us! The abutting beach is beautiful, as well. Don’t be put off by the steep descent to the property. It’s worth the drive.

We had dinner at the Mirador restaurant. There are many gluten free options on the menu, the gluten free fried items are also safe. Moreover, gluten free bread is available. The staff was very attentive and informed about celiac disease and cross contamination. We felt very safe eating here. The food was tasty.

We at lunch at the Playitas restaurant on the beach. It was delicious and they were so understanding with Gf. We had the mixed ceviche for appetizer and the corn tortilla chips were safe. Separate fryer. I had the chicken club sandwich on gf bread with fries and this thing was a monster. 3 slices! My husband had the gf whole fried fish. Was so great to have safe fresh seafood. We had maaany of the different specialty drinks. I loved the Pura vida, blackberry marg and Playitas lemonade. Overlooks the beach and has lots of cool iguanas roaming around.

We selected the resort because of the GF food focus. Amazing 8 day stay, food was fabulous, AND I never got sick! The resort was really magical with lots of wildlife around every corner (I recommend the top floor that faces the jungle if you love seeing wildlife). The food was top notch and a fantastic breakfast was included. The daily activities to local adventures were really interesting. We loved the people of Costa Rica. Just a great stay and we highly recommend the resort for anyone but especially if you have celiac.

I will echo what one of the reviews says below. We stayed here for 5 days & one of the reasons we chose this resort was because of their gf awareness. Breakfast in included with your stay so we ate here every morning, lunch one afternoon, dinner & dessert twice. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or have problems eating here. Their banana pancakes were my favorite for breakfast & their fried shrimp was my favorite for dinner. I can hardly find fried shrimp these days but they prepared it with potato flakes. Would highly recommend eating here whether you are staying here or not!

We stayed at the resort for a week. I picked it specifically because of the attention to GF food. Everything was delicious and safe. 20 meals and no issues. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the food was delicious and the view is amazing. If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica stay here. If you are visiting or passing through town, I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. Pura vida!
