We let the server know that two of our party were GF. The main menu had all GF items labeled, which was probably above 75% of the menu. It also labeled which items contained dairy. The separate menu with the specials on it didn’t have the same labeling but our server was able to answer all our questions about which items were GF and double checked to make sure. Service was fast and attentive. It’s a nice but small place, a hidden gem in Chicago.

ArePA George is a cute Colombian restaurant offering a wide variety of gluten free items (arepas, empanadas, meals etc). It is reasonably priced with big portions. 90% of the menu items are gluten free, and the staff/ management/ chefs are knowledgeable about cross contamination. The menu identifies gluten free items. but I recommend you always speak to a member of staff to ensure that what you order is gluten free and that the frier has not had any gluten in it. You can eat in or take out, and they also have online ordering.
