My go-to spot in Amed!! The manager, Putu, is an absolute gem. I messaged her on WhatsApp before going because I wanted to make sure all the reviews I was reading were accurate. She explained everything to me - protocols of cleaning pots, fresh oil for frying, etc. She even makes her own bread from cassava flour and gave us some to try. Beautiful experience!

The lady is such a sweet heart. She knows exactly what GF is and tell you all the options. Knows about Soy sauce and have gluten-free flour. You feel like you are being cooked personally by a nurturing mom. Food was delicious. The restaurant is so beautiful. With beautiful views of the sunset. You have to go! And to top it off it was SO cheap. 2 main courses, 2 drinks, 1 desert for 200k She also said she is working on making a GF menu.

I was there twice and it was great!!! Putu knows all about contamination and she uses certified glutenfree rice flower, which she showed me. The coconut roll was amazing! She also does not use MSG. A lot of herbes from her garden. You have to look up too see the restaurant because there is a divingschool under it.

Aroma de la mer is a hidden gem in Amed above Amed Scuba, opposite Sunset Point. The manager, Putu has a good knowledge of gluten free cooking and coeliac disease. She makes the majority of the sauces herself and is a fabulous cook. A separate gluten free menu is in the making, but in the meantime just speak to Putu and she will make you what you want, all gluten free. You won't be disappointed. There is plenty of off street parking and happy hour cocktails 4pm -9pm. Prices are very reasonable.
