I stayed at the Ulysses hotel (not by choice) during a conference. I went to the Ash-Bar, an aggressively overdecorated and dimly lit bar/cafe/place.

The first morning I had a lovely waitress who assured me she could have the chef make scrambled eggs with cheese and greens on the side in a clean pan with fresh, uncontaminated butter. This happened and it was tasty! My GF friend got a smoothie.

That night I came by to ask if the duck fat fried potato + trout roe was made GF. The host, a guy this time, was super snotty. “If you have celiacs [sic] we can’t accommodate you.” I totally get that they can’t guarantee safe food and I said this. But he was determined to send me away without answering my questions. Really nasty attitude.

Finally, the second morning I went back. One server, not the nice one from the previous day. He was totally overwhelmed. We waited 10+ minutes to get menus, which never appeared, and left.

So - you might get lucky here. Or not.
