I ordered a salad without croutons. I found crumbs and tiny pieces in my salad. Someone obviously just picked them out

The staff gave conflicting messages about the options for gluten free. I was told it was a small kitchen and gluten free could not be guaranteed as it was a small space. Requested to speak to the cook staff and they refused, and said I’ll give you time to look the menu over and decide if you want to order. We decided to leave and not order.
