Amazing Gluten Free Menu with variety. I ordered steak medallions with baked potato and steamed green beans off the gluten free menu. Steak came over crunchy onions, yes gluten free. Green beans had a wonderful sweet glaze. It was delicious and a good portion. Took half home for dinner.

Accomodating to the trendy GF diet, we found this restaurant to have no idea how to protect a celiac patron from cross-contamination. Expensive, chain food, and a no-bun burger is not a GF menu. "Salads are also gluten free, I'd have to check on the dressings, though."

This Bonfire location is historically one of our family's favorite restaurants, so I reserve the right to adjust this review up or down based on subsequent visits.

Our daughter was only very recently diagnosed with celiac. We do not yet know her sensitivity levels with cross-contamination or trace amounts. This restaurant "local-chain " has mixed reviews from the boards I've read. Some glowing, some not, presumably based on location?

What we do know is:

Pros: Staff at Eagan seemed knowledgeable about "gluten-free" (note the air quotes) and menu adjustments and prep separation *until* pressed.

Cons: On the Eagan menu item chosen by our daughter - the Bull Bites - the GF accommodation is along the line of a "less food for the same price" adjustment .

Cons: Staff didn't know difference between "gluten-free" and "not containing gluten ingredients ."

Pros: Food is super yummy and some (not this Eagan one?) locations are known as celiac friendly.

Cons: Our celiac daughter ordered the GF Bull Bites with no spices. They were spicy nonetheless.

Bottom line: Not sure.

We're NOT sure if she was okay or not afterwards (24 hours after our visit, our friends' kid vomited (stomach flu) less than 2 feet from her... hours later, our daughter got sick again despite GD diet... she only had vomit, and not her full array of GI symptoms. I'm inclined to believe the tummy flu.),

I am not Celiac but am extremely allergic to gluten. I ordered their fish gluten free but they didnt give me my order gluten free. Almost went to the hospital that night. Staff were unbelievably condescending and rude when we called back when I started showing symptoms. When accessing my left overs what the waitress and manager were arguing with us was "just crispy skin" was clearly some sort of crumbs/batter in hindsight.

Was informed everything that is fire cooked is put on the same slab as the pizzas and everything else that is fire cooked and high possibility of cross contamination. Their celiac awareness has gotten much worse over the years and celiac friendly menu has dwindled. I have stopped going here at this point.

Def not safe. Ordered through their door dash system- made notes everywhere that I had a gluten allergy. I had ordered the filet (which also, by the way, had no indication had gluten with it-even so, I specified my allergy) and it came in the same box and with fried onions!! Even the chopped salad I ordered as a side had tortilla strips (which were fried) on top of it. This place has good food- but definitely not safe!!!
