Ok, you're going to have to try this place! Most things are gluten-free, and the manager is super good at working with the customer to make sure you have a safe dining experience. I had the combination plate with the manager switching the tex Mex Enchilada sauce... not gluten-free, to Tomatillo sauce - which was fantastic! This also came with a taco, beans, and rice. They make their own soft corn tortillas, which, when asked the manager, included for me to try, which was very nice and really good. He also said to avoid the Guisada plate - gluten - and the tex med gravy. The menu is large, and it's going to take a while to try everything... but I might have to order that combination plate again... so good!
Oh, and wheat items are fried in a separate fryer!

We discovered Ay Chiwawa Mexican Cafe a couple nights ago. The staff was knowledgeable about ingredients, where things are made and by whom. I had the best chicken mole enchiladas ever!!! TexMex mole is more often thickened with gluten but authentic Mexican mole is thickened with maize, so it's gluten free!! This will be a new regular for us. The chips are corn and the queso and guacamole are delicious!
