I’ve been to Azumi several times on the sushi side and never had an issue. Their menu is marked and they understand gluten free.
However in my most recent visit we ate in the Flame Room and I do not recommend it for Celiacs. They have hibachi and sushi on the menu so I figured I would play it safe and order sushi. However if I only wanted to have sushi they were going to charge me a $35 for not ordering hibachi. I asked if they could accommodate a gluten allergy on hibachi then and they said yes. I ordered chicken and shrimp and I asked them whether they would cook mine in the back or first before they cooked gluten on the grill. He reassured me that I was in seat 1 so my meal will be cooked first due to my allergy and my seat selection at the table.
When the chef came to the table he confirmed my order and I had to remind him to make mine gluten free. He then proceeded to make the meal and each step of the way would portion out a serving for me and make it with gluten free soy sauce before preparing the rest of the portions with regular soy sauce. Although very considerate by the end of the meal almost my entire meal was cross contaminated. The chef wasn’t cleaning his tools between each course and gave each section of the grill a light rinse but not enough to remove any gluten contaminates before preparing my next course.
If you have a sensitivity, the flame room is great but if you have celiac, avoid at all costs. I was really lucky to not get sick but I stuck to the fried rice and veggies since those were the first items to hit the grill but barely touched my shrimp and chicken to avoid getting sick. (And it wasn’t cheap for not finishing my meal.)

I ate here in 2021, so this may be outdated, but it was one of my favorite meals in Baltimore! Ate outside, which I recommend! I got the miso cod and lobster fried rice… both were incredible. The server seemed knowledgeable about Celiac.

We went for our anniversary and had an amazing experience. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about celiac and went above and beyond to make me feel safe. Every time a plate was placed down the staff declared what that it was gluten free, so there was not a doubt in my mind that they prepared my meal with care. GF options are all marked on the menu. There were so many amazing options and they even have a special gluten free chocolate lava cake for dessert. The crispy rice tuna appetizer is a must try! I’ll be dreaming of it until the next time we go.

The service here was beyond abysmal. There are gluten free options, but our waiter and management did not seem knowledgeable.

GF items clearly marked on menu, knowledgable staff and Manager, food was wonderful with no cross contamination issues at all and I am very sensitive. Pricey but worth it and will definitely go again. Oh and gf soy sauce too. Highly recommend
