Ate here while on vacation and had no issues. Just got a burger with lettuce and onion, plain and simple. No fries as those are in the shared fryer. Please make sure to ensure that what you order is prepped gluten free.

Burger meat is no longer gluten free; shared frier eliminates fries and chips. Very limited options.

Food was great, especially with kids. All the sandwiches/burgers are available gluten free and salads and appetizers are clearly marked. I thought it was a delicious place for a gluten free turkey burger. They also have beef, veggie, and bison. I have celiac and had no issues.

Gluten free buns not available so chef put my burger on regular bun and when burger was brought back out on lettuce it was the same burger. Tomato was spoiled. The burger was charred as was the egg placed on top of burger. A 50% Compensation was made for burnt egg, incorrect bun but no new tomato brought and was still charged extra fee for unavailable gluten free bun. Definitely not a friendly gluten free restaurant.

Their burgers are delicious and the gluten free buns they use are some of the best I’ve ever had! The only downfall is that their fries are not safe due to cross contamination. Burger was worth it though!!

They have a couple gluten-free options, however when I asked for a salad gf it came with croutons on it. When they sent it back I’m pretty sure they just took the chicken off and put it on a new salad because I got super sick the next day.

Came with a group, ordered a GF burger that was decent. The only sides I could get was cole slaw or fruit salad. Tried the cole slaw and it was clearly not fresh. It'll do in a pinch, but there are better spots in Savannah.

The staff was SO friendly and our burgers were delicious! My husband had a build your own bison burger with a gluten free bun (he says that the bun was soft and tasted much better than most GF buns that he has had.) As someone who is not GF I would also recommend going here! Heads up, the fries are not GF so the only sides available would be cole slaw and fruit.

Ordered the burger with GF bun, pimento cheese, avocado and mushroom. Fries are not GF due to seasoning and shared fryer. Ordered side salad, no croutons with vinaigrette. Ate most of salad and speared my fork into a small crouton they missed. I'll probably be ok but severe celiac/cross contamination people would not. Server was nice and burger was good although they did forget the avocado. Bun wasn't half frozen like I have had at other places. Seemed like a fun place and has lots of outdoor seating too! Kid friendly with separate kids menu.

Not a lot of options other than salads and burgers. Went late one night and out of gluten free buns. No separate fryer. Burgers undercooked a couple of times. Got it right on the 3rd try. Food was pretty good.

Waitress was friendly and helpful - she made a couple of trips to the kitchen to ask questions. I also have a soy and peanut allergy - they cook their hand cut fries in soy so I couldn't get them. Got a burger patty and salad and it was good. I appreciated her willingness to ask questions and learn new things about allergies.

They have a few gf items on the menu however when ordering the gf salad it came out with croutons on it. My mom ordered a burger without the bun and got sick. She thinks the meat was mixed with breadcrumbs.

Awesome Backyard Burgers, but they have fancy ones too. Impeccable customer service from hostess, Dorothy to server, Hilary to Manger Cory, who took care of one of our burgers for a very minor glitche! They would be our new favorite place if we lived here, but anytime we are in Savannah, we'll be back!!! They care about your GF NEEDS!

They were out of Gluten free buns. The waitress had no idea (and became irritated) when questioned about the salad dressings. The fries are not gluten free but to get salad instead of fries was an extra 4$. This was just a small side salad, and I need up putting oil and vinegar on it. I would not recommend for Celiac.

Had an excellent burger with a gf bun. Not dedicated fryers, so the fries are not celiac safe. Char-boil on the burger meat was fantastic.

Avoid this place and head down the road to Five Guys. Staff clearly has no gluten knowledge. We let them know our son had celiac and they still brought his Salad (listed as gluten free on menu) with croutons. They remade my son's salad and still charged us despite their error. Five Guys down the road gets it right and has dedicated fryer. Putting GF on the menu and having a GF bun can be dangerous.

When I called there was zero info beyond the gluten free bun, vegetables and fruit.

Food was delicious too

To the Manager, I highly recommend the initial training for all employees include an information session on allergies, intolerances and Celiac Disease to better serve all customers.
