اطباق كتيرة خالية من الغلوتين بس قولوا لهم انو عندك حساسية للقمح و جبوا معاكم خبز خالي من غلوتين. في امكانية للتلوث المتبادل ولكن الحمدلله ما صارت مريضة والنادل حط الخبز لباقي الطاولة بعيد من طبقي عشان تجنب خطر التلوث. أكلت هون كتيرا قبل ما حصل على مرض السيلياك فانبسطت اكييييير لما علمت انو ما زال فيني اكل هون
Thankfully many of the dishes are naturally gluten free. Just tell them you have a wheat allergy and do not want bread. My two favorite dishes (fa7sa and a9d djaj) were gluten free, I did not ask about everything on the menu, but I think many of them are. The mandi dishes have their own menu which actually lists all the ingredients and how it is cooked. There is of course a risk of cross-contamination here but I am sensitive and did not get sick. The waiter put the bread for the rest of the table far away from my dish when I asked. Bab alYemen/Sana’a was my favorite restaurant ever before I was diagnosed, so I was so so so happy to learn I can still eat here. I think the Sufra bakery in Sweifeh makes GF Iraqi bread some days; though it’s not the same as Yemeni, it would be very close! I brought my own GF pita and they did not mind, though Yemeni food should be eaten with their special kind of bread and not really pita.
