Love this little hole in the wall. The boys handle allergies and coeliac really well and make sure their junior staff are fully trained. Amazing burgers for the coeliacs and gluten eaters alike.

This is where you can find the ABSOLUTE BEST Gluten-Free Burgers in Melbourne, a hidden treasure conveniently located in the very heart of Altona North. With their stellar service and absolutely divine selection of burgers, Backstreet BBQ truly does make it incredibly difficult for me to NOT be a regular!

Guy and his team are fantastic and super understanding of me being a coeliac. I can’t stress how appreciative and how much it means to me that they go above and beyond every time: changing their food preparation gloves, having a designated preparation area, adequate labelling, specific bun toasting methods and extensive, exceedingly generous menu options. They are incredibly careful to prevent any cross contamination, and very attentive to my needs; I have never ever gotten sick.

Us Coeliacs are starved for options out here in the west, let alone ones that taste THIS amazing! Many places fall short with gluten-free burgers, whether due to the quality and taste of the buns, or simply because they substitute the buns with miserable lettuce wraps.

Thankfully, not here though! Every aspect of their burgers, from the delicious one-of-a-kind burger sauce, quality produce, succulent and grilled to perfection wagyu beef patties to the great tasting and textured gluten-free buns are simply perfect and absolutely mouthwatering.

In all honesty, with Backstreet BBQ around, I wouldn’t and can’t go anywhere else for a great, delicious burger- nowhere else can even begin to compare!
