I got the GF vegetarian mala (spicy miso) and told them about my gluten allergy. There was some confusion because the person taking my order asked me if soy is okay and I thought they meant soy sauce so I said “well, if it’s gluten free then yes… like, tamari is okay.” Eventually I figured out what they meant and said yes soy is okay (tofu, miso, etc).
Unfortunately I had gluten exposure symptoms after eating here and have been out of whack for several days. I can’t say 100% it was gluten (I’m sensitive to processed foods in general) but the bloating was gluten-level bloating so that’s my best guess.
It was really tasty so I’m sad but won’t be going back.

I ate here like 5 times in 2 weeks recently--so good and so excited to have wonderful ramen in my neighborhood that I've had no reaction to! I love the lime shio ramen so much I haven't tried anything. I always order it as "completely gluten free" because while they marinate their own meats in gf tamari there are other toppings that contain gluten. They've been really careful and kind with me and I feel safe there. Incredibly delicious stuff I crave!

Ramen is very good, the pickled mushrooms are delicious. Menu clearly marks which ramens can be made gluten free. Make sure to order gluten free and specify no soy sauce. We have been here 3 times with no issues.

I absolutely love this spot and it cannot be kept a GF secret anymore! They make gluten free ramen and it is so delicious! Everything pre-marinated is done in tamari. The broth is safe and they sub in black rice noodles. They also only run cider through their cider tap lines. I get sick really easily at places and have eaten here many times without an issue. Definitely my favorite GF ramen in Portland!
