very limited choices- the sausages are gf and can be served with salad. the spicy italian was very nice and also a small choice of gf beer and cider. ask server for an allergy card and gf items are marked on the online menu, but the frier isn’t dedicated

Very limited menu. They used beer in almost everything. I was only able to eat a plate of meat and side of coleslaw. The staff was very knowledgeable and the meat was very good. I would have given them a higher rating with more options on the menu

No food is gluten free. As far as drinks go, they had 2 ciders and 2 gluten removed beers on tap. They didn’t know if the taps were dedicated gluten free too, so definitely room for cross-contamination. If you’re in Austin, go anywhere else.

Edit - Unfortunately this place is no longer safe for celiacs. Definitely unfortunate because you can’t order “man-mosas” without ordering an entree..

OLD REVIEW I’ve been here twice and no issues (celiac)! Food is fantastic!

This place was the absolute worst. First I asked de server for the gluten free menu and he said he didn’t have one, while their main menu explicitly said they had one. He told me he could tell me what sausages were gluten free. After 1 hour I got really sick. They shouldn’t promote themselves to have gluten free items

Many GF items are fried and there is NOT a dedicated fryer. Bummer to find out after we arrived.

The servers are very unknowledgeable about what gluten is and the severity of an allergy, despite having a gf menu. First time I was handed a gf menu for brunch, when I went to order I was told that I couldn’t order off the gf menu for brunch...so I just ate a salad. Second time I ordered off the gf menu and was VERY clear with my server about being gf. Instead of bringing me gf mashed potatoes like I ordered, he brought it with the gravy which was not gf. Good thing I double checked. The server just said “sorry” like it wasn’t even a big deal and brought me the gf one. I will never go back, but definitely be careful if you’re going to eat here.

Ordered a cider...got a beer. Straight up. Didn't notice until I already tasted it. Too late. Damage already done. No apologies. No refund. Nothing. Only giving it one star because the brat was good. The German potato salad, not so German (my dad is off the boat, so I know German potato salad).

They have a gluten free menu and give you a heads up on what is a cross contamination risk (like the fries). You still have a good selection to choose from! Your sausage will come on salad instead of a bun.

I would have given them 5 stars (big gluten-free menu and really delicious food), except that when the food came the sausages were in rolls, and when I told them we ordered gluten-free, I'm pretty sure they just took the sausages out of the bun. I didn't fight it because I have gluten-battle-fatigue, and also I have hashimotos, which does manifest in immediate symptoms, just a long term destruction of my thyroid. But honestly, that level of blasé when it comes to gluten-free food is not acceptable. Oh and also, the menu says the gluten-free sausages come with salad, and that definitely wasn't the case. Ultimately you have to be careful here and be very clear with your server that your food CANNOT TOUCH GLUTEN. But if you can deal with that the food is very delicious.

Service was terrible but they do have a great gluten free menu and a ton of cider options. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and food was decent. Sausage was served on a salad which was nice. Although, nothing to write home about. They did mark my spot as Gluten Free on the table. I felt like they were knowledgeable and helpful

Awesome place and ambiance. Both outside and inside seating. Separate GF menu with sausages and side (not just rabbit food); several awesome Austin ciders to chose from, separate fryers, and most importantly knowledgeable staff

I loved this place. Great selection of ciders, good gf menu and knowledgeable staff. Dedicated friers for their French fries. Highly recommend it.

They have a very well marked gluten free menu. Anything fried in a common fryer is noted in the menu. Their GF menu isn't huge, but what I ordered off it was quite delicious! Their staff was so knowledgable about celiac, that they informed me about their beans (on the GF menu, but now made with beer). I appreciate their attentiveness, and never felt like I was being a burden. I will frequent this place often! Well done.

I use to love this place before I found out I had celieacs. They do not have many options on food or beer. I ordered a sausage that was suppose to come on a bed of lettuce since I can't have a bun. I got a sausage on an empty tray. They do not have a separate fryer for anything like the chili cheese fries that are on the gluten free menu.
