There are several items listed as gluten-free on the menu, but you'll still need to specify safe handling. Service has been on the decline lately. Also, the kitchen seems to have lost a lot of quality, which makes me hesitate to trust in safe handling, now.
Holy cow. I was in heaven. Fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, dedicated fryer. GF cake. I ate way too much. Love the power house and organic spinach salads--nutritious and hearty. The chicken tenders come with a wasabi-honey dipping sauce that is lovely drizzled over the fried green tomatoes. Quick service too--food comes out piping hot. The chef brought my husband another chicken tender because he thought the others were sort of small--who does that??? I wish there was one in Alaska. Wait, maybe not--I ate way too much and had a piece of cake each time. People without food allergies have no idea what it's like to be able to eat out without fear of getting sick. This place is so special.
Excellent! The food and the service were fabulous. I ordered the chicken tenders, fries and fried brussel sprouts, my daughter ordered the vegetable plate (grits, cheesy mashed potatoes, quiona/spinach salad and sweet potato fries) it was all delicious. THEN: we ordered cake for later. I choose the coconut cake, she choose the salted caramel. Absolutely, everything your taste buds dream about! Highly recommend! Dedicated fryer, all breading GF.
Plenty of gluten free options including several fried foods. I had the fried chicken sandwich on GF bread, and french fries! All were very good! Also took home a piece of cake and it was quite tasty and moist! Will definitely return to try more options including breakfast!
The staff was knowledgeable, and the regular menu is marked with plenty of gluten-free options. Nearly all the fried dishes are safe because they’re made with a mixture of rice, tapioca, and potato flowers. I ordered the fried chicken strips with cheesy mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and I also shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes with goat cheese. Everyone gets gluten-free jalapeño cornbread too! When the waitress gave me macaroni and cheese (not GF) instead of potatoes, she made sure to ask the manager if the food was safe. He got me a new plate on the spot, so they work hard to make sure that you don’t get sick. If you miss Southern comfort food while you’re in Chattanooga, this is a great spot.
Fried shrimp, fried chicken tenders, waffles, pancakes, jalapeño cornbread and so many yummy deserts- this place is a celiac haven. The waitress and cooks were all very attentive to our group of 3 celiac eaters. The food was AMAZING (huge portions) and even our non-gf family members were impressed. Get the chicken strips- they are better then gluten-filled chicken strips. Go here go here go here. You will not be disappointed. ❤️ Note- The waitress said everything they put into the fryer is GF.
I’ve eaten here a few times without issue. It’s a newer restaurant and service can be pretty slow/poor And have to coach them to denote Celiac on your ticket, but the fried chicken is awesome. Note that the granola is not confirmed GF for the yogurt, but everything else was okay as denoted.
Wonderful!! The staff was knowledgeable and it was a treat to have such a large variety of gluten free options! My faves were the fried green tomatoes and fries okra. The only thing that could make it better is if you could get fried fish all the time, but it is only a Friday special.
A friend and I had breakfast at Bantam and Biddy this morning, and it was excellent! Everything is so fresh and prepared perfectly. A great, safe place for anyone that’s gluten sensitive or with celiac disease. Wide variety of options. Staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
Most everything fried is GF! Went for breakfast. They were able to use the GF pancake mix and make a huge Belgian waffle for chicken and waffles. The chicken tenders were amazing! Highly recommend for celiacs missing out on good southern cooking.
Exceptional! Worth the extra time to get there while traveling. Large selection of gluten free options. Every item we ordered was delicious. The vegetables were just as scrumptious as the main course! The restaurant was very clean, the staff was excellent. Wish there was one on every corner.
This restaurant just opened and we've already been here multiple times. ALL of their fried food is GF, this includes chicken, fish, fries and so much more! they even serve GF jalapeno cheddar Cornbread with meals. The managers are super nice and very accommodating. The GF pancakes were so good I had to double check they weren't made with real flour! Very Celiac friendly restaurant
Every single time we come here it’s amazing! The fried chicken is the BEST and the sautéed spinach is amazing and the WASABI honey sauce is what makes the whole thing! I’m a super sensitive Celiac and this place rocks!
The entire family went for brunch and it was excellent! I am extremely sensitive to gluten and had no reaction. There are so many GF options it was hard to decide. I got the buttermilk pancakes with a side of chicken tenders and fried green tomatoes with goat cheese, delicious. My daughter who is not GF also got the GF pancakes and loved them. The whole family was happy with their meals. The mimosas were quite good also. The service was great. We will be back.
We visit Atlanta at least four times a year and eat at the Lenox location every time. I've never gotten sick from that location. At this location, however, I didn't feel right and had some symptoms of being glutened. It was pretty mild that night. I took home half my chicken tenders and had them for breakfast the next day and clearly showed signs of being glutened then. I'm not sure what was different. I always double check about gluten no matter what and the waiter told me that I "couldn't get gluten even if I tried." He was obviously wrong. WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. As a side note, my chicken and my husband's chicken was very tough and the waiter spent more time talking about how to solve America's drug problem than doing his job because I had to flag someone else down to get an espresso that I ordered.
This place is amazing! Dedicated fryer and so many comfort foods made GF. Fried tomatoes and fried pickles! Good thing there are lots of healthier options too so I can come back frequently :)
Delicious food!!! For anyone with Celiac, you with be overjoyed with so many gluten free options!! First time I have had fried okra since being diagnosed and I ordered a second helping!! Chicken tenders were so fresh and had just the right amount of breading! My non-Celiac kids raved over them!!
My husband and I had the chicken fingers and they were good but it was a small portion. Disappointed in the fries they were $3 for about a handful that fit in a cup they served them in. Overall it was over priced, spent over $25 for Chicken fingers and fries that we split. We left hungry.
Had my birthday dinner at Bantam & Biddy after hearing so many good things from friends. I had the highly recommended chicken tenders which were undercooked. My sides were nothing special. The whole experience was one I will not repeat....felt like fast food with high prices.
Very good! The service was great. She asked the kitchen questions when she wasn't sure how to answer mine. The food was wonderful and prepared safely. I had the fried chicken and fries and enjoyed every bite. My husband had the meatloaf which was also delicious.
The service was excellent. Not only can I not eat gluten, but I have issues with corn starch/corn flour/corn. Our server didn't bat an eye when I was asking questions, and anything he didn't know, he went back to the kitchen to ask. That was great and much appreciated. The food though was quite underwhelming. I can't see myself going back there.
