Items with gluten clearly marked and a lot of options can be made GF, also clearly marked. Had fried calamari and it was delicious. Haven’t had coated fried calamari in so long. Also had the mussels and they were tasty. I tend to be pretty sensitive to cross-contaminated friers and I did not have a reaction!
The staff was super arrogant. My question, if the fish was gf, was answered with a laugh. When I asked to clarify with the chef the waiter seemed super annoyed. The service itself was not good either, e.g. they removed tableware while some of us were still eating and although the Restaurant was empty, it took a good while for them to bring the dishes and the bill. The food was nice and there were a lot of gf options. I wouldn't go there again, since the Service was so bad and the food was quite pricey.
This place was lovely for some tapas right in the busy main street of Soller beach area. The staff were nice and reassured us everything was GF when it came out. We tried the goat cheese vegetables, caprese, the calamari (both the rings and the mini squid), bacon wrapped dates, and potatoes - all great!
Bar Albatros
They have GF bread -it is a GF bun but served in the package on a plate that it was cooked in.
We did have to ask for another aioli dip so not to have mixed with the other one that my family used with the normal bread.
Paellla was flavorful with Spanish spices that were not overpowering. Tomato base with chicken and pork (we ordered without fish). Rice is moist and very flavorful. The entire family thought it tasted good!
We also ordered the bacon wrapped dates which were really, really delicious!
The location was very nice in the cove of the port. The restaurant is on the busy street. Service was okay a bit tourist area. They do have a separate fryer.
But I def would come back for the paella!
Everything on the menu has allergy symbols. And when asking the staff, thry said that they could make almost any of the meals glutenfree. Separate friture for glutenfree deep fry. Glutenfree bread, glutenfree beer. Classical dishes like pasta, salad, tapas, fish, meat, paella, tacos (All glutenfree). And a large dining area outside just in front of the port. Price is not too expensive, but a little over typical mallorcan prices (but equal to the outher restaurants at the most turist-visited places. Would recommend!
