I informed the waitress of my allergy/celiac and ordered the brick chicken entree without bread crumbs. She assured me that she would note the allergy and let the kitchen know to be careful about cross contamination. Nevertheless, the kitchen didn’t omit the bread crumbs and I didn’t realize it until biting into one roughly halfway through the meal; it was too dark inside to see them in the entree. If you go here, perhaps use your phone/flashlight to inspect your food before diving in.
They have almost nothing gluten free on the menu anymore. No pasta or pizza. The salmon and salad can be done gluten free (as with any other restaurant on the planet) Food quality seems decent, but nothing for those with gluten problems to eat really.
I went for brunch and got the steak and eggs. The food was great but originally they brought out my plate minus the eggs and didn’t tell me my toast was gluten free. I also got some fried potatoes that were cross contaminated. I spoke to the server and they corrected it. Toast was gluten free, hash browns prepped in a separate waffle iron, etc. Didn’t get sick!
Called ahead to see what the deal was after some Yelp reviews said there was a GF pasta option, but I didn’t see it listed online. They told me both GF pasta and GF bread were available. I was stoked.
There were a few GF items on the menu. We got the Brussels sprouts and the burrata (regular bread and GF bread served on the side). Both were really good.
I ordered the GF pasta alla vodka. When it came it was ... just OK. Pasta was undercooked but sauce was good. It was just disappointing because the other three people were raving about their glutenous meals and I was like “sigh, it’s OK.”
But I didn’t get sick! And they really did a good job of keeping everything separate and were knowledgeable. So give it a try!
