The owner, serving staff and kitchen staff were very knowledgeable on their menu items and what could be made with alterations to accommodate gluten sensitivity. It began with them asking for level of severity, if it was an allergy or sensitivity. They individually listed each item that was gluten free on the menu including any alterations they would make if necessary.

They described the care that the kitchen staff puts into each plate to ensure no cross-contamination was a priority. They were forward in stating they do not have seperate kitchens so there is always a chance and can not be “gluten free” however they can achieve a “gluten friendly” environment with clean kitchen surfaces, new utensils, and clean hands / gloves to decrease any risk of contamination.

GF FOOD: Salmon with rice pilaf and seasonal veggies (RECOMMEND), Steak with rice pilaf and seasonal veggies or baked potato Any burgers on menu with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, Salads with substitute dressings and/or no croutons, BBQ Chicken (looked amazing), Ribs, and so much more!

GF DRINKS: cocktails, cocktails, cocktails! And of course, my favourite, the FOUR different options of SANGRIA made in house! The ‘tropical sangria’ is a must try!! ❤

As of now, these items are not marked on the menu as Gluten Free, Gluten Friendly, Gluten Wise, or Gluten Sensitivity however the owner pledged her support of my recommendations for the gluten and celiac community and will work on getting a separate GF menu with the alterations noted, updating their POS system as necessary under a GF tab to avoid user error, and ensuring the knowledge basis is above par for the individuals handling food products with potential allergens.

I was beyond impressed with the owner’s compassion and commitment, I look forward to visiting again in the near future for more delicious meals I don’t need to worry about while eating out!
