Great experience as a celiac - the chefs had a good discussion about what I could eat and clearly were taking it seriously. I had the burrata and they even gave me gf bread. The restaurant was great quality flavours and it made my family really happy - sometimes you make a total compromise trying to accommodate gf or celiac and your fam ends up having to eat somewhere that is meh- this is not one of those places. Really good food, celiacs and non celiacs very happy. Price is higher but amazing food.

Incredible food!!! We went twice! The burrata was out of this world and they had gluten free bread with the olives! Just let them know of your allergy and they were extremely knowledgeable about it. I will dream about the octopus risotto for years to come. The sangria pitchers were incredible and they even had a gf cheesecake!

We had an amazing meal at Barbosa. The menu items were not marked however the staff was very knowledgeable and were clearly able to identify. The took it seriously. My partner is celiac and I am not. I ordered something and they came back to the table to confirm as the item was not gluten free. We were able to have appetizers, mains, and deserts.

Delicious healthy meals. Love all the vegetables. Salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Servers were very knowledgeable on gluten allergies. Enjoyed GF bread.

Great food, good service, modern location. We eat salmon with potatos, octopus Risotto, Burratta and Shrimps. GF Bread was served. The GF options weren not listed on the menu, but the server knew everything that is GF, and was very aware of cross contamination.

No separate deep fryer for fries.

Had a great dinner here and waiter knows extremely well about celiac disease. We had glutenfree Tapas Octopus Salad, Burrata, Nachos with Guacamole and glutenfree bread. No symptoms although I’m a highly sensitive celiac.

Great food, great service! The GF options weren’t listed on the menu, but the server knew everything that could be GF, and was very aware of cross contamination. My boyfriend with a shellfish allergy also had no issue, which is amazing bc that’s half the menu. No issues after the fact. Food was some of the best i’ve had in Portugal!

The waitress knew about celiac, and could also recommend dishes without gluten. Many of the dishes were gluten-free. The restaurant also offered gluten-free bread for €2. Overall a good experience.

Seem to be cautious about cross contamination. Gluten free bread that’s not contaminated. Food was decent but certainly left a bit to be desired given the price

Our family of 6 went here for dinner. We had a lovely dinner Al fresco on the sidewalk. Two of my kids are Gluten free (celiac). They had gf bread for them and had lots of GF options. Neither got sick.

The staff was friendly but the few options of gluten-free meals was not of my taste (I’m 16 years old). I ended up having a double portion of guacamole with nachos for dinner. They had some more sea-food options that where gluten-free.
