Adding this so no one will ever go and experience what I did.
We were in a bit of a bind and I took a chance on the pub to get some dinner, seeing Google said they had GF options.
Menu didn't have any indications other than they have gluten free burger buns available.
I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun, side Caesar salad and indicated I had celiac so to please be careful.
I got the burger. I asked the food runner (not our server) if everything was GF and he was noncommittal. Without thinking, I picked up something that fell out of the burger onto my plate ate it. It was a deep-fried, onion, definitely not GF. We flagged down our server and she took it away, came back and said the kitchen "didn't even think about it."
She said they were remaking it. I tried to tell her that I didn't want another, since I was definitely going to get sick so I best not eat anything else. She was not listening, because she said "yes, for sure, but they're already making it..."
We took it home for my partner to eat later, as at this point I did not trust it, if the sauce was actually GF, etc. Paid $30 for a really disappointing experience and now I'm just waiting for the symptoms to start.
