Review of Base Camp Pizza

I don’t have Celiac but am very sensitive to CC. I decided to try this place out because the GF options are so limited in Tahoe and Tahoe is always a pizza mood. The staff are aware of celiac disease and use new gloves, pans, and cutters for GF pizzas. All GF pizzas come in personal 10” size for something like a $6 up charge (oof).

I’m happy to report that the pepperoni and Hawaiian pizzas were delicious and I did not get sick. Granted, I took Benadryl that night to pre-empt symptoms.

And I don’t know if this was a factor but we dined at 11:30am on July 4 before the lunch rush hour. I wonder if getting in early lowered the risk for CC because there wasn’t as much flour in the air preparing regular pizzas.
