Love the GF Skyhawk and stuffed mushrooms. Have eaten here several times and have never been glutened.
Restaurant used Udis crust with average toppings.
Pizza wasn't very flavorful. No issues with contamination and service was okay but for the price of the pizza and gf bread, we were expecting much better food.

My highly sensitive celiac daughter has gotten sick both times we tried their pizza. First time, I wrote it off as a fluke, but second time confirmed they aren't great about cross contamination. If you're celiac, don't risk it.
Loved their GF pizza! They use Udi's crust and I was also able to get with Dairy Free cheese. It was cooked/ topped deliciously. They have a wonderful and comprehensive allergen & GF menu. Wish I had a Beau Jo's by me! (was visiting on vacation)
Not only was it the best gf pizza I've had to date (by far), but they also have one of the best gf beers I've ever had (Green's Amber Ale)! We'll be back and will gladly visit other locations!

Beau Jo's has gluten free pizza. Unfortunately it only comes in one size.
NOT celiac friendly. I ordered the italian turkey sandwich gluten free and told the waitress that I needed to be strictly gluten free. She was very nice and seemed knowledgeable and said they would change their gloves and use a clean knife and prepare it on clean area with parchment paper. Unfortunately when I got the sandwich and tested a sample of each ingredient and bread with my Nima Sensor, it found gluten. The waitress was very sorry and explained the this is a very busy Buea Jo's and depending on the staff in the kitchen it can be hard to guarantee a gluten free meal. They did not charge for my sandwich. I gave 2 stars for the friendly waitress but I would not recommend a celiac eat here.
Ate here last night - the ~25min wait was worth it. My husband & I had the GF garlic bread, stuffed mushrooms, and then split the GF pesto chicken pizza. The garlic bread is an entire sub cut in half - huge portion!The GF food is prepared separately and comes out MUCH FASTER than the regular pies. We had our food & finished eating within 35mins and the surrounding tables didn't have their pizzas yet. GF for the win! And no reactions what-so-ever!
Hands down the best gluten free pizza I have eaten! I had the 'Lil Italy. From their menu & website I feel like they do a better job of any pizza joint with gluten & gf pizza to prevent cc. I only ate here because of the other Celiac reviews. I would have given 5 starts, but I feel there is still a risk of cc, but lower than most pizza places.
Beau Jo's has ramped up their celiac GF protocols. My server was knowledgeable and the menu is very specific about what is not GF. I felt safe eating here. Their pizza crust is excellent-- my partner says better than the regular wheat crust. I visited here after having a bad experience at Otto Pint and recommend this place as the only place in Ft Collins that I know of that reliably manages pizza prep and cross contamination.
I was afraid to try pizza at a new place since I'm on a road trip so I didn't eat it til we got back to our hotel but when I did eat it... omg! Its the best gf pizza hands down and they did an excellent job with the cross contamination. I am very sensitive and didn't get sick. Major kuddos to this wonderful establishment. I highly recommend trying this.
Amazing! I have celiac *and* a severe wheat allergy. I know within 4-5 minutes if something has wheat or has been cross-contaminated. This place rocks! I ate chicken strips and a pizza and I'm feeling fantastic! I wish we lived in the area - I'd eat here all the time! Just passing through on a road trip. I recommend this place unreservedly.
Travelling cross country, we were in Colorado looking for a place for dinner where my daughter and I could eat (both celiac) Found Beau Jo's - fantastic! GF pizza was wonderful, salad bar was excellent and the staff was very helpful and answering our questions. Great experience all the way around.
I have to admit that I was a little disappointed after reading all the great reviews. As a Colorado native I have always loved Beau Jo's, even though I'm not usually one for thick crusts - dipping the crusts in honey makes the thick crust worth it, and it's really only thick around the edges...delicious! After reading all the awesome reviews, I expected to have a pizza that was at least similar to their regular pizza, but the crust was very thin and crispy and was practically dripping in oil. It tasted ok, but was certainly not the Beau Jo's experience I was hoping for. I still dipped my crusts, it just wasn't anywhere near the same. :( Maybe I ordered the wrong kind of pizza, though? I'm still giving 4 stars, because the service was awesome, they seemed knowledgeable about gluten free, and they had quite a few gluten free options on the menu (even aside from pizza). I will definitely try again, and maybe next time I'll ask if there is a thicker gluten free crust option. It was just kind of a bummer watching all my friends enjoy their thick, bready crusts with honey while I basically had an oily cracker with honey. If you go, you'll likely be happy as long as you don't have the expectation that it will truly be a Beau Jo's pizza.
Always celiac friendly and endorsed by the celiac association! We have visited every location as native Coloradans and every time the meat sausage combo is fantastic as well as the gf garlic cheesy bread and the cheese stuffed mushrooms! Not mushy great service and glad to have options since 14 years ago getting a pizza at a restaurant was a dream and not a reality. First world problems solved beautifully!
The service we received was not impressive, our pizza was overcooked, and I ended up getting glutened. I was really disappointed.. considering the amount of other GF options here and the typical wants of Steamboat natives (very health conscious and many GF residents). You'd think they would provide for their needs and compete.
extensive menu with tons of options for those with celiac. ordered the honey cheddar bread which was pretty strange; wouldn't recommend. the pizza was pretty good (udis crust) and the chicken tenders were decent. nothing special that we tried but no cross contamination and tons of options!
Outdoor enthusiasts in colorado have loved Beau Jo's environmentally friendly concept since the first branch opened back in 1973. today, anyone can enjoy a colorado-style "prairie pie" gluten-free, served in a personal pan and prepared with hand-rolled crust. From there, the options are as limitless as the mountaintops: there are six glutenfree sauces, ten options for cheese and a variety of meats and veggies.
This Beau Jo's is set up very differently than others! Order at the counter and very small. Same pizza but not as many GF (or regular) options as other locations. Was assured the prep was safe. Very small tables so it is kind of scary to eat pizza with other people who are not eating GF...crumbs were flying everywhere!
I'm so thankful for Beau Jo's. They have such yummy gluten free food options. Only place I know that I can get (great) gluten free bread sticks, gluten free chicken tenders, and great gf pizza. Their sandwiches can be made on gf bread (though they are pricy that way - but obviously worth it to be able to eat one!)
I've eaten here several times. The service was good and friendly, and I thought the pizza was really good too, great toppings. They also have gluten-free Wednesday where they offer a free salad to gluten-free orders. I like the friendliness and dedication they show.
Found this place using this app and I'm so glad I did! I have never eaten a fresh gf pizza since being diagnosed, fast food pizza places don't convince me they're safe but I know the practices in restaurants like this are usually safer so tried it and IT'S THE BEST GF PIZZA ICE EVER HAD, YES I'M THAT EXCITED! I will go back every time, I'm going to order two pizzas this weekend!
I have severe celiac disease (like don't-eat-products-manufactured-in-a-facility-with-wheat severe), have been eating here for years, and have never been glutened. They store all their gluten free ingredients separately, change their gloves, and all that jazz, but they do not have separate ovens, so ambient cross contamination is still a possibility. Over all, the pizzas are delicious and they take every precaution that a non-dedicated restaurant with only one kitchen can. If you are in Fort Collins and looking for a good sit-down place, this the one.
