The GF beignets (both savory and sweet) were delicious! I am celiac and I didn't know they didn't have a dedicated fryer, but I did not get sick. I can't wait to go back on my next trip to KC!

Wish I had paid heed to the reviews. Very, very sick as a celiac! Not worth it
No
delicious but not if you are celiac

This place would be for those who choose to eat GF, not if you are Celiac. When asked if they have a dedicated fryer she says yes, but we put things that are not gluten-free in it. ???.
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE CELIAC.
No
This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years and upon my diagnosis I was worried that I would never be able to eat there again. to my joy I discovered that they offer many GF options and even have a dedicated GF fryer. I will say that I have had a slight reaction occasionally but for the most part it seems to be safe.
Also, for my vegan friends their GF beignet dough is vegan!
Yes
I've never had a reaction after eating here and am celiac. I've been other places where they say they take precautions but I've ended up having reactions. That's never happened to me here though and I love both the sweet and savory beignets!
Yes
NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS!
This restaurant is misleading the celiac community. While promising "gluten free" foods and initially promising that gluten free beignets are cooked in a dedicated fryer, when questioned closely the owner (Bryan Merker) admitted to me that while all gluten free beignets are cooked in the same fryer, other non-gf foods are also cooked in this same fryer and oil. Additionally, foods such as their crepes are cooked on the same grill as gluten foods, with no effort to clean the grill. When I expressed my concerns about cross-contamination, the owner indicated that he believes that high temperatures break down gluten, rendering any additional precautions unnecessary. When I tried to explain that this myth was both false and dangerous, and that it posed a threat to the health of his customers, the owner responded that "since I wasn't going to buy anything" I should just leave.
This place may be fine for people who are gf for nutrition reasons, but for those of us with allergies or celiac this is NOT safe.

This was my first beignet, ever, and the experience was epic! I got three beignets ranging in flavor profiles; the Brie/Apple/bacon one is not to be missed. The ragged gypsy Madri Gras atmosphere only serves to enhance the Incredible flavor profile. Don't skip the Creole coffee!
Great food! Good service.
Big Mike discussed the GF options with me personally.
Yes
Absolutely phenomenal. Fried food for someone with Celiac is such a treat! Had both a savory and sweet beignet. Can't wait to return!
I was told there were no savory options, so I got a sweet beignet which was good, but more of a dessert than lunch. Then I saw online there are savory ones that are gf. Oh well, next time I guess.
