Gave them my dietary restrictions in the reservation, when I checked in and to the waiter. When plate was delivered I double checked I got a gluten free plate. I received reassurances all the way. After i began eating I tasted wheat, then I realized the plate had whole wheat in it. My table was dark enough to not see it until I had several bites. The staff and the manager apologized several times, to no avail as I would get sick anyway.

Stay away from this place if you’re celiac.

Loved bellota Pre diagnosis. Staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable but got sick within 30 minutes of leaving. Had tortilla, salmon, a salad.

Most things on the menu are gluten free and others can be easily customized to be. Wait staff seem very knowledgeable. I told our waiter that I had a gluten allergy and he immediately asked, Celiac? He said they handle this all the time and once he adds Celiac to the order the kitchen takes all the precautions. They recommend to also say you are a Celiac when making the reservation. Absolutely delicious Spanish tapas style cuisine and cool venue. I highly recommend Bellota.
