I am a regular visitor too Bells in Durham ,they have a dedicated fryer for gluten free food,the staff are always really helpful,and the food is always amazing,there is normally an little wait for gluten free food as they turn on fryer when requested ,but the staff always make you aware of this,and the food usually comes with a "gluten free" sticker on so there is no chance of a mix up, I can highly recommend the haddock and chips,and they also have a gluten free vinegar on each table ,as well as Heinz ketchup which is gluten free,definitely worth a visit . They also have a choice of gluten free dessert ,although I'm usually too full of fish and chips too try it .
