Not many options gluten free and risk of contamination are high... good staff though
We go to this restaurant very often and it was usually ok.
I am celiac and react terribly to gluten so always specify to the waiter to please let the chef know that I have an allergy.
Today I did that I specified to the waiter please tell the chef that I have an allergy so that there Is no cross contamination. The waitress (short haired brunette) told me not to worry. I ordered a quinoa skillet. None of the ingredients in the menu contained gluten.
I got the meal, ate half of it and found a hash brown potato under the quinoa. I know from past inquiries that the potatoes are glutinous so never order them. I specified when ordering to please tell the chef to make sure it does not cross contaminate. When I confronted the waitress she said oh don't worry it's not glutinous and it's probably nothing. She said think positively you probably won't get sick. What??? I asked her- did you tell the kitchen I have an allergy- her response was that there are separate sides in the kitchen. I asked again did you tell them I have an allergy? She just brushed it off. They didn't charge me for my meal but honestly I will not be going there again. I do blame the waitress because she didn't specify to the chef about my allergy like I asked. I know the service industry isn't easy and these waitresses work hard but come on. It's an allergy- TAKE IT SERIOUSLY!
