Review of Benedetto's Ristorante Italiano

They offer gluten free options, but definitely NOT celiac friendly! My celiac daughter got very sick from eating here, even after I called ahead to speak to a manager and was assured she would be able to eat there safely. I felt very uncomfortable after the waiter thought it was odd to request fresh, unglutened water for the gluten free pasta to be cooked in and then told me that cooking the GF pizza unprotected in the oven with gluten pizzas or boiling the GF pasta in with gluten water would be safe because of the high heat temperatures. They are definitely not trained properly on how to handle celiac or allergies like they claim. My husband called and left a message for the manager about our daughter getting glutened and almost a week later, we still haven’t received a call back. Very disappointed and upset with this restaurant, especially since we spent $200 on this meal that ended up making our daughter so sick and not even a call back!
