Benvenuti's Ristorante

We went to Benvenuti’s for my sisters birthday and had a great experience! My sister loves Benvenuti’s and mentioned they had gluten free items highlighted on their menu, and after looking it up on Find Me Gluten Free I was excited to give it a try. The waitress (Arissa - she was fantastic) asked if we wanted to order drinks or perhaps gluten free bread immediately upon being seated, which was surprising since we hadn’t mentioned needing gluten free in the reservation. She took the time to walk me through the menu and show what could be made gluten free and what couldn’t (almost all pastas are gluten free minus the obvious lasagna, ravioli, etc). I got the pasta from hell, which is a cream based sauce with tomatoes and pepperonis, which was fantastic! I felt safe here with the knowledgeable staff and extensive variety of GF options. No reaction afterwards! Absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a nicer spot in Norman.

Food was very good and came out on a different colored plate than the regular food. They bring GF bread (canyon bakehouse 7 grain) to the table but no butter or oil dip. Pizza, salads, and pastas can be made GF. GF pasta is penne and it is very good although shreds more easily like most GF pasta. All of the sauces are safe. The only dishes that cannot be made GF are the Ravioli, gnocchi, and lasagna. Meatballs are NOT GF. The only appetizer that can be made GF is the bruschetta. The entrees are all GF or can be easily adjusted. Crème brûlée, flourless chocolate torte, and cinnamon sugar Nutella donuts are all GF and delicious. I am usually asymptomatic to mild symptoms so I’m unsure how safe it is for the highly sensitive.

they have gf pasta, pizza, desserts, and they even bring you gf bread! servers are aware of gluten allergies. love this place.

Our waitress Claire was very good. She was knowledgable and what she didn’t know she asked the chef. We started with gf bruschetta. It was SO GOOD. Gf bread was delivered to the table. I had mushroom pizza and boyfriend got lamb chops. The lamb chops melted in your mouth. The potatoes were the best potatoes I ever put in my mouth. For as flavorful as the bruschetta and lamb were, the pizza didn’t have much flavor, but still good. I’d try the pasta next time instead.. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Lots of GF items. Ordered a salad and our waiter was not the one who brought it out, it had croutons. I explained to her I was very allergic and she took it back, she came back with the same plate just the croutons removed and said she picked up the wrong plate! Well she didn’t I could see the crouton residue left on the plate and the lettuce. Very frustrating. Our regular waiter was great and the main course was good.

GF pasta was amazing! They also have GF bread AND desserts! I have celiac and did not get sick! They are super careful!!!!

Beat option in Norman. Because the restaurant is individually owned and because the chef is AMAZING, allergies are taken into consideration. The gluten free pastas I've tried have been incredible and the salad and pizzas are also delicious! 5/5 would recommend!

My brother and I are celiac and ate here the other day. Not only was the food delicious and gourmet, but we also did not get sick! Amazing restaurant. We will be going back. :)
