AMAZING Gluten and Dairy free options! I am gluten and dairy sensitive, I take pills for cross contamination so I can't speak to it being 100% absolute celiac safe (it could be, I just don't know). The owner greeted us at the door, and he spent time at my table going thru the entire menu telling me what I could have (the dairy w the gluten combined makes things challenging). Almost everything is gluten free, and almost everything is fairy free. Like many central and south American cuisines, they utilize corn instead of wheat for most things, and things with dairy were usually cheese that could be removed. My wife (no allergies) and I agreed it was our best meal of the trip by far. Tapas style, with a few dishes that are larger dinner size. We had guacamole, fish dip, chicken tamales, pork shoulder, and something else I'm forgetting. All were 10/10. Very unique flavors. I'm a former "foodie" who is usually stuck eating the usuals. This place made me feel like a foodie again. The owner promised to review every order b4 it went out. Cocktails were also excellent. Great vibe. Recommend reservations on a weekend/busy night.
Online reservation included a spot to explain my gluten intolerance (I'm not celiac but highly sensitive). First thing, our waitperson told me the fryer is cross-contaminated and wouldn't work for me. But they start each week with a clean fryer and set aside some whole fried tortillas for chips. They even pan fried potatoes for papas bravas. Owner/Mgr checked in several times. Absolutely sublime flavors! Had crawfish queso and fish & grits to die for. Terrific cocktails, too!
